On ecumenical Klingonism
DeepOmega: and now I feel a lot of sympathy for the worf
Joe: and yet by the end
Joe: he would be so well loved that they would ship him off to ds9
DeepOmega: the problem of conveying tone on the internet: I'm not sure if you mean that!
DeepOmega: like, wasn't ds9 a backwater?
DeepOmega: so I can read this as, "fans loved him, so he was continued in ds9"
DeepOmega: or "nobody in starf leet loved him, so he was shipped away where nobody would care"
Joe: hm, the former i think
Joe: and the starfleet so loved worf that they gave him their only begotten cardassian space station
DeepOmega: hah!
DeepOmega: the prodigal klingon
Joe: Worf 3:16

“This critique is detached from reality. Steven Rattner, who was Mr. Obama’s lead...”
– A Million Jobs - NYTimes.com Rattner never once asked private investors if they wanted a piece of GM to save it. In fact, that option was never placed on the table by simple virtue of the fact that GM was not allowed a normal negotiation with shareholders. But the government’s behavior in the...

I’m assembling a playlist of president-themed music on Spotify. Any and all assistance, in the form of song recommendations, shared playlists on Spotify, half-hearted patriotic puns, etc. would be welcome. Question mark for answer box?

Skrillex is like John Philip Sousa. I can enjoy marching band music in the right context (fireworks displays, halftime at a sporting event) just like dubstep is useful for grinding on things after midnight, but I’m gonna treat anyone who listens to it on a daily basis with suspicion.

cordjefferson: 5. Be sexy. Wall Street men tend to like women who are attractive and that other men notice when they walk in the room. This does not mean that you should look sleazy or inappropriate, this just means that you should bring your “A game” when you go out with him, whatever that is. “How to Date a Wall Street Man”!!!!! Psst
New Girl isn’t a documentary. If a character acts a certain way, it’s not because she IS a certain way, it’s because she is WRITTEN THAT WAY.
